What’s your favourite memory of your early musical life?
Playing on stage for the first time at a school fete, to pretty much nobody (it was 9am), but being very nervous regardless. Afterwards somebody's mum asked me for my autograph and I felt like a bit of a rockstar. Nobody's mum has asked me for my autograph since then.
What made you want to play music in the first place?
My dad used to play Tommy Emmanuel records at home a lot, I can remember from an early age being pretty obsessed with the sound of electric guitar.
How old were you when you started playing?
I started taking it seriously when I was about 15 or 16.
Who were your music heroes/idols back then? Who are they now?
Jimi Hendrix and Kurt Cobain have always been my faves!
What was the name of your first band?
'Dislocated'!
